ABOUT US

Welcome to the web page of The Bagot Arms.
The Bagot Arms is a grade two listed public house in the historic village of Abbots Bromley in Staffordshire. We are a stones throw from Blithfield reservoir, a haven for trout and carp fishing enthusiasts, as well as being the home of Blithfield Sailing  Club. Abbots Bromley is also on the Staffordshire Way and so is popular with walking clubs as well as those just out for a stroll in the beautiful countryside.
In September Abbots Bromley hosts it's internationally famous Horn Dance. The Horns, dating back to the 11th century, are take from St. Nicolas's Church on the morning of the first Monday, after the first Sunday, after the 4th September and danced round businesses and homes. It is thought to be a Pagan festival dating back to the middle ages and brings visitors from all over the World.
The Bagot Arms, although always a watering hole for travellers, was also a working farm. Much of the surrounding newer housing built on land originally farmed by the occupants of the pub.
We endeavour to keep the charm of the pub going and it still has a lot of it's original features. A cold winters day will see it's two open fires giving it that cosy warm glow to make any visit special.
We offer great value food at very reasonable prices, offering a tasty selection of food including our famous steak and burger range.
